قام بعض الجنوبيين العرب العائشين في امريكا قبل يومين بمظاهره امام مقرالامم المتحده لاطلاع المجتمع الدولب بالظلم الجاري على اهل الجنوب العربي وقد طلب مني اخي العزيز محمد اليهري الذي كان حاضرا في المظاهره والذي هو احد النشطاء الجنوبيين بالفعل ان اكتب رساله قصيره بالانجليزيه لتقديمها للمنظمه وقد كتبت التالي (وبعدها تجدون ترجمتها الى العربيه)

The people of the South ( of Yemen( have preceded the Arab Spring by years commencing their campaign to gain their rights and to be allowed to be granted the right to self-determination.
Since 2007, they have adopted and pursued a path of completely peaceful demonstrations and civil actions At no time did they use violence in the pursuit of their objectives or threatened to use it .
Contrary to this, the Sana’a government used excessive military force to subdue this peaceful campaign, killing and maiming thousands of demonstrators and innocent passersby. This number includes large number of children and women including a pregnant woman. This use of excessive unnecessary killing force has been fully documented by International bodies including Amnesty International) http://www.amnesty.org/en/
In their repeated monthly (and sometimes more than monthly) demonstrations, the Southerns never ever resorted to violence and they all–in their hundreds of thousand – consistently demanded one thing and one thing alone They demanded “please give us our independence”
The Southerners are not asking for “secession”; they are asking for “independence” and the return of their sovereign state. They have never in history been part of Yemen, and thus they are not asking for secession, they are asking to be freed from occupation through coerced union
We truly believe that an Independent Southern State will be a democratic, law abiding country in peace and harmony e with all its neighbors and a useful member of the International community
If that does not happen , it is our greatest fear that this area will become a rich soil for international terrorism which feeds on violence and absence of law and order; an area which will not be an example of “Somalization” alone or “Afghanistization” alone but a combined “Somghanization” . God forbid

سبق شعب الجنوب موجه الربيع العربي بسنوات في حملته لكسب حقوقه ومنحه الحق في تقرير المصير.
منذ عام 2007، اعتمد واتبع هذا الشعب الصبور مسار المظاهرات السلمية تماما والدعاوى المدنية ولم يستعمل العنف في أي وقت من الأوقات أو هدد باستخدامه في السعي لتحقيق أهدافه..
وخلافا لهذا، استخدمت حكومة صنعاء القوة العسكرية المفرطة لإخضاع وكبح هذه الحملة السلمية مما نتج عنه قتل واصابه الآلاف من المتظاهرين والمارة الأبرياء. ويشمل هذا الرقم عددا كبيرا من الأطفال والنساء بينهم امرأة حامل. هذا الاستخدام المفرط للقوة والقتل غير الضرورية تم توثيقه بالكامل من قبل الهيئات الدولية بما في ذلك منظمة العفو الدولية
في مظاهراتهم المتكررة شهرياً (وأحيانا أكثر من شهريا) ،لم يلجاء الجنوبيون ابدا الى العنف وكانوا جميعا – بمئات ألفاهم في المظاهرات يطالبون وباستمرار بشيء واحد وشيء واحد فقط وهو “من فضلكم اعطونا استقلالنا “
الجنوبيين لا يطالبون ب”الانفصال”، بل يطالبون “الاستقلال” وعودة دولتههم ذات السيادة . لم يسبق في التاريخ ان كان الجنوب جزءا من اليمن، وبالتالي فإن شعب الجنوب لا يطلب الانفصال،بل يطلب التحرير من احتلال فرض عليهم بوحده قسريه وبالإكراه
نحن نعتقد حقا أن دولة الجنوب المستقلة سوف تكون بلدا ديمقراطيا , بلد يحترم القانون بلد يعيش في سلام ووئام مع جميع جيرانه وعضوا مفيدا في المجتمع الدولي
إذا لم يحدث ذلك، فمن أعظم خوفنا أن هذه المنطقة سوف تصبح تربة خصبة للإرهاب الدولي الذي يتغذى على العنف وغياب القانون والنظام؛ المنطقة عند حصول ذلك لا سمح الله لن تكون مثالا “للصومله” وحدها او “الافغنه” وحدها بل مثلا للظاهرتين مجتمعتان في ما قد يسمى “الصوغنه” لا سمح الله
